In an age of decolonization, the first imperialism – the control and policing of women’s bodies continues – either through shaming, unreachable standards, erasure and violence. Drawing upon their own work three artists share their celebration of female desire, the body, and how far if at all, women have made progress in reclaiming the body. Over 16s.
Art of Resistance: The Final Frontier
A two day festival talks, workshops, art exhibitions and performances celebrating, honouring and inspiring decades of protest and creativity in Bristol. This contemporary festival focuses on how the arts are a vehicle for social change, drawing upon themes of reclaiming the body, the mind and the natural and built environment.
